Retirement Plan Specialists has been providing full-service, employer sponsored, retirement plan administration and consulting since 1995. Retirement Plan Specialists assists employers in the design, implementation, administration, and communication of a wide range of retirement plans. Our Team

Eric A. Carlson

Since 1988, Eric has focused on qualified plan administration and general consulting relating to the operation of retirement plans. His expertise includes a specialization with administrative and compliance issues relating to Employee Stock Ownership Plans. He has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics degree from the University of Idaho, which featured an emphasis in Applied Statistics and Computer Sciences. Eric has also received certification from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries as a Qualified Pension Administrator.

Nancy A. Mitchem

Nancy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University in 1983, with an emphasis in accounting and computer systems. That same year she entered the pension field, performing all phases of retirement plan administration including trust accounting, contribution calculations, IRS reporting forms, document design and presentation to clients.

Michael W. Schnabel

Michael has a PhD in Organizational Management from Capella University, two master’s degrees and a bachelor’s degree with emphases in Mathematics and Economics. Following seven years in the Army, Michael has been working in the pension field since 1997 performing all phases of plan administration including design, compliance and contribution calculations. Michael recently moved to the Northwest from Kansas City after being widowed to be with his new wife.
